Why You Need To Stop Being A Mediocre And Start Living Confidently

Let me quickly posit here, there’s nothing wrong with mediocrity; as many people are satisfied with it. But when it comes to chasing our goals, that can significantly change our lives for the better, then mediocrity is a bad thing.

However, it is important to know that people who live boring, mediocre lives also have goals and dreams like successful people, but that’s where the similarities end.

When successful people step out of their comfort zones in an instant, and work on their new exciting endeavors; mediocre people will tie a figurative knot around their waists, to make sure they don’t get separated from their precious comfort zones.

Their comfort zones have everything they hold dear. They’re not willing to do anything to put that at risk or jeopardy, not even for their dreams. Their dreams can wait, that’s what they tell themselves. Their dreams aren’t important, their comfort is. And they’d be right. After all, we’re all entitled to our own opinions. No wonder mediocre don’t make significant progress in life; as they follow the same routine every day. Imagine doing the same things over and over again for the next 1-5 decades!

If you want to get out of such a life and make your life more exciting, then you need to start testing the waters around you. Don’t be afraid to take baby steps and test your surroundings.

Unfortunately, most people aren’t willing to leave their comfort zones behind. This is why for a great majority of people, a mediocre life is all they’ll ever know. They’ll never get a taste of the life they’ve always dreamed of. And this is also the reason only a small percentage of individuals live their dream lives.

If you want to join the mediocre crowd, then, do all within your power to stay in your comfort zone, and never take action towards reaching your dreams. Don’t learn new skills, don’t try new businesses, and don’t do new things.

However, if you want to join the small successful minority, then don’t be afraid to take that first step and start pushing your boundaries. Very soon, you’ll find that your dreams may be well within your arm’s reach!  It’s high time you stand up and follow your dream. Learn that skill, start that business, and make those moves.

Why You Need To Start Living Confidently?

Have you ever met a confident person? I’m sure you have! They stand apart from the crowd. They hold their heads up high. They don’t slouch. When you shake their hands, their grips are firm, and they won’t back down from your gaze. They simply have an air of confidence about them, and they always look ready to tackle whatever task they have in front of them.

Here’s why you need to work on your confidence if you want to succeed in life:

  1. Your confidence will drive you to take action

When you’re confident about something, you’re much more willing to take action because you know deep down that you can succeed at whatever it is you’re going to do. While others are procrastinating, you’re already halfway to your destination. You’ll reach your goals much faster, simply because you took action and didn’t just sit around playing with your thumbs.

  1. You can overcome your fears

Your confidence can slay your many fears. Whether it be fear of the unknown, fear of success, fear of failure, fear of what other people think, your confidence will allow you to face and overcome them. If you know you’ve got what it takes, then it will be easier for you to ignore your fears and your insecurities. It will be your confidence that will basically stop your fears from distracting and bothering you on your journey to success!

  1. You can say ‘yes’ and ‘no’ with confidence

In life, you’ll often be presented with many choices. So, when you’re confident enough, you’ll know the difference between right and wrong, and you’ll know when’s the right time to say ‘yes’ and the perfect time to say ‘no.’ Your confidence will equip you with self-control. You’re not going to do anything crazy that may delay or hold you back from chasing your dreams.

  1. You believe you’ve got what it takes to succeed

Self-confidence means believing in yourself and what you can do. Even if you know you’re lacking some skills, you’d be willing to put in the time to learn those new skills. Your persistence and your confidence will pay off in the long run. A healthy self-belief will allow you to accomplish whatever it is you’re aiming for.
