INGREDIENTS FOR HAIR PRODUCTION AND THEIR FUNCTIONS

1. Petroleum jelly–  This is a purified mixture of hydrocarbon known as alkane, obtained from refining petrol. It is used for the treatment of burns, cuts, rashes, damaged feet, cracked lips and protection against cold. Petroleum Jelly also serves as a moisturizer to block the trans-epidermal water loss, and traps the water under the skin. Petroleum Jelly presents in the hair product gives the hair some deserved shine.
2. Lanolin– This is a greasy material produced by the sebaceous glands of sheep or sheep wool. It acts as an excellent moisturizer for dry skin and hair, it also functions as an effective water barrier – preventing further water escape (it holds moisture to the skin).
3. Paraffin Wax – This is a wax-like solid that is a mixture of saturated hydrocarbons, it was created by the distillation from Petroleum. Paraffin is typically used in cosmetics, candles, polish and hair products. It serves as sealing/waterproofing compound, also for treatment of hand and feet.
4. Paraffin Oil(Off White) – This is a very highly refined mineral oil used in lotions and creams. It serves as the emollient which helps to seal moisture in the skin to prevent it from drying.

 Step 1: Put a POT/PAN on Fire

Step 2: Add PARAFFIN OIL

Step 3: Add PETROLEUM JELLY

Step 4: Allow the MIXTURE to dissolve and blond properly

Step 5: Add LANOLIN

Step 6: Add PARAFFIN WAX

Step 7: Add GLYCERIN

Step 8: Add VITAMIN E

Step 9: Bring down the POT/PAN off the heat

Step 10: Allow the POT/PAN to cool at least for 5 minutes

Step 11: Add Menthol/Peppermint

Step 12: Add Camphor

Step 14: Add Perfume

Step 16: Allow it to cool for another 15 minutes

Step 17: Put inside a container

Step 18: Leave Over Night in other for the content to settle down
