Methods of Producing Carrot Oils

There are basically two methods of producing carrot oil; which we will be discussing in details today.

  1. The Cold Pressed Method
  2. The Heat Pressed Method

You see, I personally preferred the Heat pressed process or method, because it is faster, but I will still teach you both methods; so, you have choice to make.

The Cold Pressed Method

This is basically the process by which we use natural heat coming from the sun to heat the oil mixture. To make this clearer; I am going to list out the steps to aid quick understanding. Here is what I am saying:

Step 1: Buy some carrots

Step 2: Wash, clean and grate the carrot

Step 3: Put the grated carrot in a bowl/bottle with a cover (Make sure the bowl or bottle covers tightly)

Step 4: Get any oil of your choice e.g Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil e.t.c

Step 5: Pour your chosen oil in the bowl or bottle containing the grated carrot

Step 6: Cover the bowl or bottle containing the grated carrot and any oil of your choice tightly; to prevent air access.

Step 7: Now, keep the tightly covered bowl or bottle containing the grated carrot and oil in a place where the sun can shine on it.

Step 8: Make sure you stir or shake this bowl or bottle every two days for the next 10 or more days.

Step 9: Then sieve the content of the bowl or bottle after the 10th day with a clean handkerchief or napkin to get the oil.

Step 10: Package the oil and sell

Heat Pressed Method

This is the process by which we use artificial heat source e.g gas, stove e.t.c to generate the carrot oil. Permit me to also demonstrates this too in steps.

Step 1: Buy some carrots

Step 2: Wash, clean and grate the carrot

Step 3: Put the grated carrot in a pot/pan with a cover (Make sure the bowl or bottle covers tightly)

Step 4: Get any oil of your choice e.g Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil e.t.c

Step 5: Pour your chosen oil in the pot or pan containing the grated carrot

Step 6: Cover the pot or pan containing the grated carrot and any oil of your choice

Step 7: Place this pot or pan on a low heat to fry till the oil has turned orange

Step 8: Remove the pot or pan from the heat and allow it to cool

Step 9: Then sieve to get the oil till there are no particles in the mixture anymore

Step 10: Package the oil and sell

Note: You can mix two or more oils together if you like. E.g, you can mix coconut oil and olive oil as your oil for this production.
