How To Make Anti-wrinkle Oil Blend

Wrinkle is a result of aging, which comes from the inside, as well as from outside damaging factors. The sun is the major cause of external skin aging. Aging refers to many changes that happen inside the skin.

Over the years, facial muscle contraction causes paths that look like folds. Left neglected for too long, deep wrinkles can be hard to deal with.

Once these folds learn the path and the skin loses elasticity, they stay on the skin. On a young skin, facial expressions spring right back, leaving the skin smooth.

On a mature skin, they become static wrinkles. These are basically all the wrinkles and lines that show up on the skin when expressions are not formed.

Medical professionals often compare skin aging with the shrinking of a raisin. When a mature person loses weight, the skin doesn’t bounce back as it used to. The more weight one loses, the saggier the skin becomes.

How To Apply Essential Oils

I don’t know how many times I need to repeat this, but I think we need to understand that essential oils for wrinkles should be diluted in a carrier oil. In another word, you should never use essential oils on your skin without diluting them with a carrier oil.

So, what is a carrier oil and why is it important in diluting essential oils?

Carrier oils are oils used to blend and reduce the power of essential oils, which ordinary would have affected our skin if not diluted.

Here are some common carrier oils include:

  • Olive oil
  • Grape seed oil
  • Coconut oil
  • Almond oil
  • Avocado oil

You should mix the oils well in a bottle or bowl. For use on the face, the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy recommend the following:

  • For sensitive skin: 3–6 drops of essential oil per ounce of carrier oil.
  • For normal skin: 6–15 drops of essential oil per ounce of carrier oil.

A person should test a small amount on a patch of skin 24 hours before using the oil on larger areas. If any irritation occurs after 24 hours, they may be allergic to the oil and should not use it. If no irritation occurs, a person can apply the essential oil mixture directly to affected areas of the skin once or twice daily.

Risks Of Essential Oils

However, I think it’s important you understand some risks associated with essential oils, which are often related to allergic reactions resulting in a rash or itchiness.

Other signs of an allergic reaction include:

  • a runny nose
  • hives
  • redness or swelling
  • bumps
  • rashes
  • itchiness
  • sneezing

In some cases, an allergic reaction can be severe and cause anaphylaxis. If a person experiences severe symptoms or is having trouble breathing, they should seek immediate medical attention.

Please note: For any reason; a person should never swallow essential oils, as they are toxic. Mind you, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) do not regulate essential oils, so it is crucial to buy them from a reputable source.
