Ingredients For Making Antiseptic Bar Soap
P.K.O (Palm Kernel Oil): Palm kernel oil is an edible plant oil (NOT COOKING OIL) derived from the kernel of the oil palm Elaeis guineensis. It should not be confused with the other two edible oils derived from palm fruits: palm oil, extracted from the pulp of the oil palm fruit, and coconut oil, extracted from the kernel of the coconut. It is a very important ingredient in antiseptics soap making.
Caustic Soda (Lye/Sodium Hydroxide): Caustic soda is also known as sodium hydroxide, caustic soda, and lye. Anhydrous (100%, solid) sodium hydroxide has a chemical formula of NaOH and a molecular weight of 40.00 with an inorganic compound with formula NaOH. This is a cleaning agent!
Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate): Soda ash is the active ingredient in washing soda. The chemical name for it is sodium carbonate, chemical formula Na2CO3. This is a stain remover, as it helps to soften hard water.
Sodium Sulphate (Sodium Sulfate Anhydrous): Sodium Sulfate Anhydrous is the anhydrous, sodium salt form of sulfuric acid. Sodium sulfate anhydrous disassociates in water to provide sodium ions and sulfate ions. This makes the soap thicker!
Silicate (Sodium Silicate): Sodium silicates have many useful properties not shared by other alkaline salts. It is use to make the soap stronger and also a clean agent!
Pine Oil: Pine oil is an essential oil obtained by the steam distillation of stumps, needles, twigs, and cones from a variety of species of pine, particularly Pinus sylvestris. Pine Oil is also a cleaning agent; the water based household cleaning compound of pine oil is capable cleaning, disinfecting wipes and disinfectant liquid.
Color: This does what you think; it gives the desired color.
Perfume: This is what gives the scent that makes the whole different. Remember, best fragrant is nothing to compromise in this process.

Where exactly can I buy the ingredients
You get these chemical in any market around you; there is nothing special in them; as they are readily available.
In step 4, you said the 3 liters of P.K.O should be mixed with 2 liters of water before pouring in the lye solution. Is it right?
No, this is because the caustic soda solution in bowl A is the same as Lye. So, there is no lye anywhere. Or do you see me mention any Lye anywhere in this post?
I need to find you and give you a hug. It’s a very selfless act to share knowledge. May God enlarge your territory and increase you on all sides.
