I hope you are following and learning along on our journey of Bitcoin; it is indeed interesting! Today, I shall be talking about how you can successfully open and operate a Bitcoin Account.
Just like you have a Bank Account with different Bank having different Account Number; that is exactly the way your Bitcoin operates. You will have a Bitcoin Address (Bank Account – you can have as many as you want); a Bitcoin Wallet Address (Account Number – this is what you use to send or receive payment from people) and Bitcoin Websites (Bank – you can have different Bitcoin Wallet Address with different Bitcoin Website).
A “wallet” is basically the Bitcoin equivalent of a bank account. It allows you to receive bitcoins, store them, and then send them to others. There are two main types of wallets. A software wallet and A web wallet or hosted wallet . A software wallet is one that you install on your own computer or mobile device. You are in complete control over the security of your coins, but they can sometimes be tricky to install and maintain. A web wallet or hosted wallet is one that is hosted by a third party. They are often much easier to use, but you have to trust the provider to maintain high levels of security to protect your coins.
I will be using Blockchain as an example of Web wallet or Hosted wallet. So, how do you have an account with BlockChain? BlockChain is a web wallet with a simple design and a number of very useful features that make it excellent for beginners. You can send and receive bitcoins via email and buy and sell bitcoins directly from BlockChain. A full-featured Android app enables access to all account functions on the go.
Steps On How To Open A Bitcoin Wallet
Step 1: Go to www.blockchain.info Please, take note of the web address closely as I am aware of a FAKE website to steal your bitcoin if care is not taken.
Step 2: Click on Wallet and Click on Create A FREE Bitcoin Wallet
Step 3: A new page comes up that requires you to fill correctly and click CONTINUE
Step 4: Then you are login and can start SENDING and RECEIVING Bitcoin
Step 5: You can click the Send Button to start sending Bitcoin and the Receive Button to start receiving Bitcoin into your Bitcoin wallet.
